What Our Clients Are Saying

Our condo association was first introduced to Nicholas Glod of Midwest Deck when we were accepting assessment of and bids for bringing our deck/rear stairs into compliance with City of Chicago building codes. His company's was the favored because he was honest about the condition of our deck, and he offered an economical alternative to entire replacement. Once a start date and pricing was agreed upon and the contract was signed, the crew at Midwest Deck completed the entire project in a timely manner resulting in work of the utmost quality and detail while displaying professionalism and accommodation. Nick was always easy to contact and gave highly thoughtful answers to all questions. As...

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Midwest Decks, starting with the owner, Nick, and his absolutely amazing and outstanding crew! From the very beginning, Nick and his team have been professional, dependable, and genuinely committed to doing the job right. The crew is prompt, efficient, respectful of the homeowners and their property, and incredibly hardworking. But what truly sets them apart is their craftsmanship. These men are next-level carpenters. Their work is precise, detailed, and beautifully executed. They take tremendous pride in what they do, and it shows in every single detail. And when I say they are dedicated, I mean it literally! This crew worked through tornado...

We had an outstanding experience working with Nicholas on our pergola installation. From start to finish, his communication was excellent—he was responsive, clear, and always willing to answer our questions. He took the time to walk us through every step of the process, making sure we felt informed and confident in our decisions. His pricing was fair and the quality of his work him and his team provided exceeded our expectations. The finished pergola looks incredible and has transformed our outdoor space. If you’re looking for someone who is professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about delivering great results, we can’t recommend Nick highly enough!

Midwest Deck just completed our deck project and we couldn't be happier or more satisfied with the people, the work, the price, everything! Nick was very helpful in going over all our options for rebuilding our current deck, and was very knowledgeable (and patient) in answering our questions and educating us on the process. There were no "surprises" in dealing with Midwest Deck. Nick and his crew were always easy to deal with, always answered any questions or changes we needed with a "Sure, we can do that" or a "no problem!". The site was always left clean and organized at the end of each day, and Nick was able to accommodate every request we had. He is an expert at what he does, and a...

Nick and his team built a roofdeck and pergola installation on our home in April 2025. He helped us design the perfect space and helped get discounts on the material costs. He went the extra mile to work with our roofing team to ensure the integrity of our roof stayed in-tact. Nick and his team are coming by to finish up the deck and will update this review with photos after!

They did a great job with my deck. It looks great. They were fair with price. They worked fast and communicated pretty well. Very happy with the deck. My only complaint was that while making the deck they put tarp on my lawn for a few days and the lawn died. However, they apologized and offered to pay for the repair costs. Not much more I could ask for.. Very pleased. Most importantly, the deck is great.

We couldn't be happier with our new pergola from Midwest Deck! Our goal was to truly bring the inside out and create an outdoor space that felt like a natural extension of our home.- and Midwest Deck absolutely nailed it perfectly. From the design to the craftsmanship, every detail was thoughtfully done. It has completely transformed our outdoor space and feels like we've added another room to our home. We love spending time here, and it turned out better than we imagined. If you're considering a pergola, we highly recommend Nick and his team.
